There are over two thousand religions on this planet all trying to explain the origins of the human race, our relationship to the God or Gods that created our universe, and what our ultimate destiny will be. The problem with all of those religious narratives lies in the fact that they were created by human beings in an attempt to answer some very profound questions. While those religious narratives do contain some local historical fact, myths, and legends, they conflict with God’s design and with scientific fact, which means they must be accepted on faith and faith alone.
Science is simply a quest for understanding of God’s design, the rules that govern that design and the limits of that design which in turn makes science a search for the Creator or Creators of our universe. If you look at the planet we live on, it is a very small speck in a very large universe. If you look at the variety of life on this planet alone you begin to realize that God created a universe designed for an infinite variety of life and an ecosystem for every life form. If you look at the different species that coexist on this planet alone, you will eventually realize that the only reason for life is the survival of the species and the acquisition of knowledge. God designed a universe full of possibilities and full of challenges which clearly says adapt, learn, grow, or be destroyed. The only message God has given to life in this universe is: “Destroy what I have created and you will destroy yourselves”. God speaks to all life through His design and His design clearly tells us that He values all life and has no preference for any single species over any other. We are destroying our environment, and we are clearly a species on a path to our own destruction. God will not intervene to save us. If we do not change and work together for our own survival, we will simply perish and be replaced by another life form.
It is time to let go of the myths, legends, and lies of the past and join the quest.
