One Person – One Vote

The Electoral College was at the center of all the conflict and controversy associated with the 2020 election and the attack on the U.S. Capital. We have three choices, do nothing and it will happen again, the National Popular Vote Compact which leaves all of the flaws of the Electoral College in place, or the path our forefathers gave us to document our progress and secure that progress for future generations. The Electoral College is an archaic and undemocratic process which should be eliminated through a Constitutional Amendment.

We claim to be the world’s leading democracy. What kind of country do you want to live in? What kind of world do you want for your children and grandchildren? Democracies have direct elections, it is time to decide and it is time to act.

H.J. Res. 14 of the 117 Congress would amend the U.S. Constitution and eliminate the electoral college. It is the path we should follow. The Twenty-sixth Amendment was proposed by Congress on March 23, 1971, and three-fourths of the states ratified it by July 1, 1971.

This is a change that could easily be made and ratified before the next national election.

Please consider the actions:

  • contact your Congressional Representative and tell them to pass this amendment,
  • contact your U.S. Senators Senators and tell them to pass this amendment,
  • contact your state officials and tell them to be ready to ratify this amendment.
